Debi Louise dan pasangannya, Graham Holden tidak menyangka rutin harian mereka bakal membawa kepada penemuan serpihan pesawat pejuang yang digunakan ketika Perang Dunia Kedua.

Pasangan itu dikatakan sedang membawa anjing mereka bersiar-siar di pantai Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, England ketika menemui serpihan pesawat pengebom berusia 76 tahun tersebut.

Mereka kemudiannya memuatnaik gambar tersebut di Facebook yang kemudiannya menarik perhatian pakar dalam bidang berkenaan.

Pada 31 Mei lalu, pemantauan Tentera Laut Diraja Britain ke atas bangkai itu telah menemui peluru hidup dalam kerangka pesawat. Pasukan itu kemudiannya telah meneutralkan peluru tersebut.

Pesawat itu dipercayai merupakan pesawat penyerang maritim Bristol Beaufigter milik British dan dikenali sebagai ‘bisikan maut’ bagi para musuh.

Memiliki enjin yang berbunyi perlahan, ia mampu bergerak selaju 300 batu perjam bersamaan kira-kira 482 kilometer sejam.

Ia dilaporkan terjunam pada April 1944 setelah mengalami kegagalan enjin sebaik berlepas dari sebuah bandar berhampiran di North Coates.

Bangkai pesawat ditemui dipercayai serupa dengan RAF Bristol Beaufighter TF.X of 254 Squadron. (Kredit: Grimsby Telegraph)

Royal Navy confirms ammunition found in wreckage of RAF fighter discovered on Cleethorpes beach.Early morning Explosion in Cleethorpes ! 💥💥💥Update from the scene of the crashed Bristal Beaufighter. The wreckage of an RAF fighter that crashed in 1944 has been uncovered on Cleethorpes beach.It is understood the wreck is a Bristol Beaufighter maritime attack aircraft and was uncovered by moving sands near the Humber Mouth Yacht Club.After reports that the site could be a danger to the public with unexploded shells the Royal Navy EOD team were called out, with the Cleethorpes Coastguard and the RNLI.They cleared the area and made a controlled explosion around 5.45 am this morning.
